Tarvek needs to go away... he's just a Gil impersonator.

Gilgamesh is by far the coolest of the characters not on the caravan. The "death" of Agatha Hetrodyne was rather confusing.

I'd venture to make the prediction that he'll end up more of a rival for Gill than an impersonator.

I'd even say that the main characters seem to be filling roles vacated by the previous generation.
Agatha = the Heterodyne boys, Gill = Lucrezia (minus the evil), Travek = Claus, and Zeetha and Krosp = Punch and Judy.

Just read the new page (November 10th's) and feel I must say that that hat is going to be come quite an interesting character in its own right if Gill doesn't blow it up first.

Also, Mr Higgs is cool.

It's all in the presentation.

The hat does make a statement... in this case the statement being "Don't let the Jägers dress you."

Anybody read the latest? Lately they've been getting a wee bit more bawdy, and it's certainly worth a chuckle.

A good measure of a man is the way his friends brag on his behalf.

I suppose Gil's going to have to take a page from the Jagerkin book of courtship and love.

The page that says "Don't hworry ef she tries to kell you, She es joost playink h'ard to gets. But be shure to whear your protektive oonderware joost in case."

I'm sure Gill will tell her that he protested their proclamations when he gets a chance. I'm also sure she either won't listen, or won't hear him. That seems to be his luck.

Should the Jagers become playable in some game, I could see them being the main tank charachters. Or at the very least, the fast-moving powerhouses. Perhaps the steampunk version of the Dungeons and Dragons 3.8 Frenzied berzerker class.

Would be awesome to see then in an rpg, but it might be difficult to make them player characters because of just how amazing they are. Seriously, they're unstoppable, look at the punishment they can take and like it too!

I intend to try to work them out for a monster game, just because it would be too much fun to talk like a Jäger for an evening or several.

Okay, so it appears to me that Gil is more likely to be that lost (not dead, as we are led to believe) Heterodyne son...probably located by Klaus in the wreckage of the castle and raised as his own (he doesn't know this yet, but the mysterious voice behind the door tells me that he will soon).  This, of course, would make Gil Agatha's brother and remove Tarvek's competition as a love interest (hey, I don't like 'em either, but...)

Of course, I'm half expecting for Lars to make a resurrection comeback and make things very confusing for Agatha.

As far as Gil's plan?  Just my opinion, but let's look at the social strata:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Well, sort of...for now.

The problem with Gil and Agatha pulling a Skywalker is that the Baron is aware of Gil's attraction to Agatha. When he mentioned this he gave no indication for such a relationship to be incestuous (though we are talking about European aristocracy here).

But I can see no reason why your predictions about Gil's plan would be wrong. We can only wait and see.

I told my mother and sister about this post.

Perhaps so, but Klaus is first and foremost a pragmatist, and with things the way they are, it's unlikely that they'll consummate any time soon.  There's plenty of time to break the boy's heart, but if we reveal his true identity too early, the result may be problematic.
