Not only was Gil in a Si Vales Valeo hookup with Agatha, she was on a raw Dyne water rush at the time. I'm sure that left a mark on both boyfriends, and in an interesting way. They are both part Heterodyne now, but neither pairing is incestuous!

They are both part Heterodyne now, but neither pairing is incestuous! Hooray!! Hey, guys; Just noticed something else about Higgs on my re-reading. This page. Last panel. Zeetha has just been stabbed. And Higgs says, "Yes... But I vas just starting to like her." *Blink* "Vas"? So now, what with all the punishment he took fighting Pinkie (like, say, being fine after pretty much being stabbed through the heart) combined with that "vas", I'm wondering if he miiiight be some slightly new kind of Jaeger. One with the fighting abilities, but not the other interesting physical effects. His teeth are perfectly normal; he doesn't have claws; his speech and colouration are perfectly normal too. Except for that one "vas" when he was pretty stressed out (as much as he shows it, at least). The castle recognized him when it first showed up back in Lucrezia's secret lair in the basement. He obviously knows far more than he lets on. He seems to permanently be enjoying a private joke. Maybe he's what you get when a Heterodyne drinks the water? I still suspect he's Agatha's big brother, but what else he might be as well..? I can't wait to finally find out about Higgs.

I believe this has been gone through before.
1. Higgs does not smell like a a Heterodyne to Jaegers, Agatha does. Or all Jaegers smell it and ignore it. 2. He is not a spark, a Heterodyne heir would HAVE to be (he may be a non-spark heterodyne) 3. Higgs is recognized by the Castle, but not like an heir like Agatha 4. Higgs has knowledge of the Castle and past Heterodynes someone in his position wouldn't normally have 5. In times of stress he reverts to an 'Old' Mechanisburg accent suggesting an origin in the Town. 6. He has superhuman qualities equivalent to a Jaeger without their physical changes 7. He has spent the last 10 years in the service of the Baron 8. Both Agatha and Gil had their origins obscured to protect them from assassination, why not Higgs? 9. Higgs is already very familiar with Mama Grika's when we meet him, extensive past history 10. Dyne water causes monsterism in non - Heterodynes, it temporarily supercharges a Heterodyne. Higgs knew this in offering the water to Agatha. 11. Klaus Barry Heterodyne was exposed to the Doom Bell, it was rung on the day of his birth (Vol 7, page 23) 12. Bill Heterodyne personally dug the survivors of the Others attack from the Castle, and therefore could easily have faked Klaus Barry's death. 13. Von Pinn was Klaus Barry's nurse 14. Klaus Barry's birth looks to be approx 400 days before Agatha's conception.
Feel free to add to this list

15. Axel Higgs' and Agatha Heterodyne's initials are both A.H. (admittedly this may be a coincidence). Very comprehensive! Thanks! --Hey, re: #5, has he done that more than just the once? I haven't noticed it anywhere else before but then, I wasn't watching for it. You don't need to cite chapter and verse; I'm just curious.

Makes you kind of wonder how so many of its residents got to be so old. You think with a family like that in charge the life expectancy would be well.. a lot lower.

Also, we've had rather unHeterodyne-y Heterodynes and then no Heterodynes in the recent past. Isn't it possible that those that were at their peak when the last Heterodyney Heterodynes were in residence are the current population of Badass Grandpas?

No effective defences, so we'll just have to rely on the monsters. Of course the monsters are hardly worth mentioning.

The Castle is now full of Dingbots, so remember the Circus! Defences will be up and running very soon.
Also Jaegers have to be counted amongst the Monsters.

But undirected Dingbots tend to modify things as they see fit, not necessarily in a way that would best benefit anyone else. And they have been going for a few days now, they are probably close to their Malthusian collapse point (each generation of dingbots is less well-made than the previous generation, so soon they become a pile of malfunctioning rubble).

Queenie, and the Dingbots have been instructed, and the castle will help in their work, indeed the Dingbots complement the Castle AI perfectly.

What a lovely proposal! How could Agatha deny such a charming and well-mannered automaton? I'm sure his tool belt is most impressive.

Also, with the Castle having Main Control and Main Power back on, lots of things that haven't worked for decades will come back online. The "Forgotten Things", Torchmen, Screamers, all sorts of fun stuff!

Another bit of fine detail. The ammo for Gunnery Post IX is 6SJ7 vacuum tubes. (Which is a modest amplifier tube.)
