... and certainly something you don't see every day. Nice find JR. As a foreigner I was surprised to see such a rural activity so close to Washington - you folks sure do have a lot of space!

Don't worry, we're doing our damnedest to turn into into strip malls and McMansions, as fast as we can.

Actually.... the research I was doing was on the fields just to the north of the Amish farmer... it is probably his field as well, but it is soon to be a 40 acre gravel pit...

Does anyone mind if I revive this topic? #blows of dust# I've just updated my google earth to 6.0.1.2032 (beta) I love the streetview walkthru thing they made. No more clicking on those tiny camera's, just scroll and walk. You can also switch to 3d buildings and scroll and walk. Takes a lot of internet speed, but it works. I'm going to explore this topic and find some interesting places. Any good ones I must see?

I spent a great deal of time flying around Mt Everest in 3D - It gives a great perspective on just how high that mountain is!! Another area of interest for me was the South China Sea (and surrounds) there are little islands way out to sea with a single house/building on them. Would not want to be there in a storm.

Did you just go PSSSSSSST at me or have I just sprung a leak?
I'm not retreating, I'm advancing in another direction.
