(another gun modification)

Yes, it's been done by many people, and for some reason we don't seem to have very many NERF guns in our toystores. I looked last time I was in.

But I did have an old water pistol lying around, and I fancied making something so here it is so far. Although nowhere near finished.

Well I love it so far, and I'm sure it will be fantastic when finished. The gun looks exactly like what an airship pirate might carry.

Looking good, liking the copper coil a great deal! As for the acquisition of replica (from water pistols up to blank firers) there has been a recent tightening of the laws around the ownership of replica firearms her in the UK- so much so, that you can't buy 'realistic' looking toy water pistols and cap guns anymore, I know, I keep on looking for them, and I can't even find Nerf guns in mu local Toys'Я'Us! Pity, as all I want is the hilt to build upon.

The copper coil I cannot claim to have made myself. Rather there are an interesting assortment of different sized metal coils inside PC Power Supply Units of which I have several that are defunct.

As long as you have some handy liquid copper leaf and brass paint then the various other wires, capacitors and other odd plastic shapes etc make wonderful additions.

I tried Toys R Us as well; nothing to be had gun-wise except for a few cowboy silver six-shooters, pirate flintlocks, and a Star Wars imperial blaster/silly string gun.

Apparently Sky High Kites sell Nerf Guns, but I haven't ordered from them as yet, and as such, can't comment on their honesty (or lack of?)
