Fantastic!  I've finally found a place that has some Las Vegas Steampunkers.  I had put together a forum specifically for Las Vegas fans, before I had found out about this place.  You can check it out here if you like:

Welcome all new posters to this board.

About events coming up.  My sister is involved in a "production company" (they throw parties) and they have something called the Anonimity Ball coming up in March/April time frame 2010.  This will be the 2nd ball like this they held. The theme for the ball this year is Steampunk/Air Ship Pirates.
She also mentioned something about contests they might be doing leading up to the ball.

I will post more info about this ball as I get it (i.e. Date, Time, Cost, etc).

Just thought I would put it out there as an FYI in case you are interested and wanted to begin getting yuor outfits together.

To follow up on this, I'm one of the people in said "production company", and the event and location have been announced. Anonymity 2 http://tinyurl.com/ygjezol, at the Flamingo Hotel and Casino, in the Twilight Ballroom, Friday, March 26th, 9PM until everybody collapses.

I be Captain Justin Kase, of the Dread Pirate AirShip The Steam Monkey putting out to the call to fellow steampunkers, landlubbers, scallywags, air dogs, and nare do wells.

And as I did last year AFAN and I be getting ready for the AIDS WALK LAS VEGAS 2010. Help us in the battle against HIV/AIDS here in southern Nevada. If you will be in Las Vegas on April 25, 2010 Join my crew of pirates and thousands of other people as we take to the streets to support those living with this disease. Together we can make a difference.

AFAN is Nevada's oldest and largest AIDS service organization. Providing more than 24 years of service to our community.

The Gypsy Nomads are going to by playing at Yayo Taco on June 7th. My girlfriend and I will most likely be there; she might wear a corset, but I'm not going to dress up.

I don't know if anyone is still checking this thread, but Hi. I just recently gained interest in steampunk and also recently move to Vegas. I was hoping to meet some people with similar interest and learn more about this culture.
