I found this splendid bit of art work on an Italian steampunk website.

Cant tell you who the artist is, as I cant read or speak a word of Italian.
Still the work has a certain something, no?

Most splendid, indeed.

I would hasten to add, however, (fine intentions of the artist notwithstanding) that the combination of Verne & Wells Vs [insert abominable enemy here] would be even more splendid.
