At some point or another - i will make the assumption that we have all attired ourselves in steampunk or period clothing. If anyone wishes to do so - let this be the thread to post imagery of yourselves - thus to give an idea of styles for the new and forthcoming

Well- start it as I mean to go on - I know some of these certainly aren't steampunk - but i enjoy making photos "old" stylee. (Pith Helmet, Suede Jacket, Silk Scarf, Leather Gloves, Luger P-08 Pistol) (Volkswagen Beetle, about 7 years ago, and from left to right: Me, Me, Me and Me) Myself, as snapped by sally, one random evening after a few beers, attempting to get my banjo in tune. And before anyone else points it out - yes there is hideous innacuracies here. The turn of the century style of the photo with the WW2 poster in the background, the retro team photo using a 1974 Beetle, and so on. But feel free to post your own images please. Make it a group thing!

Done a bit of Live Roleplay, but nothing Steampunk yet! But it does mean I have a lot of costume laying around: here's a big version of my avatar: Top hat, Gothic coat, goggles, wing collar shirt, black velvet waistcoat and cravat, all within easy reach! Oh, and a skull. Got plenty of period clobber, tailcoats, stripy trousers, lots of black velvet: my favorite has to be the pinstripe black velvet suit with the long high button jacket- I'll have to pop it on and post a picture, it's luverly!

I really only have one period pic, but I'm really digging on my new Prince Philip hat, so I'm sure there will be more soon. oh and this one, doing my best somber portrait-sitting expression Then there's this one I guess. Not really period because im wearing jeans, a wallet chain and a hoody, but there's a bunch of neat wood and brass stuff around. That's pretty much my everyday outfit. *Sigh* I'm like a friggin cartoon.

The shirt is not so vintage looking, but... And of course, my lady companion is quite modern in her clothing tastes... All that skin... This was my girlfriend's b-day dinner at Teatro Zinzanni in Seattle. Not quite a steampunk establishment, though I still recommend it, more a modern take on burlesque/Vaudeville. Worth checking out, and if you went in full steampunk regalia, you wouldn't look out of place.

"circus" fashion shoot: daily getup: Belgian wool police officer's uniform (a suit you can do heavy labor in), european rail conductor's hat, goggles for riding in the rain and grinding Fancy occasions: Top hat from Camden lock market (so hard to find an extra-large in the states), used bobby's cloak (it's full of patches, really got years of use, it's wonderful), magic feather. Jaunts on the Pennyfakething: Velocipedal gayness

This is my day to day wear. Not precisely Victorian, but once I get some goggles it'll be moreso. It's a very nice white dress shirt, found at Frenchy's (used clothing store), an Old Navy jacket and a hat I found at Mark's Work Wearhouse. The gloves I picked up at my great-uncle's house.

Ah, everyone looks bloody fabulous! Very inspiring! An older one of me, from April of 2005: And a recent one, from two weeks ago: Corset busks are good places for hiding pocketwatches. Keep the images comin', ladies and gents!

So Libby tells me that people are showing off their kit. Sounds like an open invitation to me! Here's a pic taken by my dear old Ma at our last show with a judicious bit of editing by "Brass Panties" Bulloff:

k, never thought i would post anything like this, but I really liked the hotel room I am in in London, I like the Sherlock Holmes collection I just picked up in the background of this picture (Annotated 3 volume set, 80 quid), and decided to sepia it just for the "mood". I present to you... me.

I've finally got some photos of myself so I thought I'd post one on here. I'm not super-hard-core steampunk in everyday life because I tend more towards the Japanese kodona/dandy style, but it's fairly similar.

I just posted this else where but I'll add it here as well a similar shot of me in my DANGER VEST patent pending One of my convention outfits (sort of steampunk) as a bit of foreshadowing -- Me as "the Doctor" and my lovely Miss Eli as "The Bride" and then, from our actual wedding

Good day my fellow steam-chique connoisseurs, I submit for your comments my weeks acquisitions, including but not limited to a seriously wicked Bavarian guardsman's hat. I have taken photos for your edification and I invite your comments.

I went out the other day with my sisters to take a few photos... Here are the results: EDIT: Just realized these pictures are kind of big. Here are the links instead. This and this. Not much steam, unfortunately, nor an inordinate amount of punk. But I think it works. Especially the cap.
