If you're not aware that there was an actual real-world meet up of some Brass Gogglers this last wekkend (the 10th November), I've taken the liberty of posting some pictures of the several of us that made it to the Black Country Museum, dressed in our finest Victorian Steamery:  Left to right: Herr Döktor, Jon, Doctor When, Rosel, Outta_Spaceman, Ivan Drugostrov, and Tinkergirl. Hello all! I'm back after a long absence from the forum.........with pictures!!!   These are on my deviantart account as well. That's a wig, by the by. I found it in my toolroom and thought it looked rather 20's so I decided to try doing some 20's makeup tests with it on....then took pictures.  And yes, hair scraps are very useful. They're especially good for stuffing pincusions, as this keeps the needles well oiled. |

Did you take these pictures? My next question is whether or not that is actually you in those pictures? Yes and yes. They're all self-portraits apart from those ridiculous afro pictures that Bryon took. Wow! I just realised how truly vintage afros actually are. I was finally able to get my hands on a working camera! here is me, in all of my steamy goodness, haha. This would be more casual everyday steampunk attire With my coat  A bit more formal And again with my coat ^_Q Here's the larger version of my avatar. I just bought the coat and vest, and I need to get a couple more vests for everyday use >_< |

In all honesty, I'm not really a steam punk at all (I think). I just dress in a very outmoded fashion and like things with cogs and boilers. Alright, maybe I am, but that really isn't important. I'm afraid I don't have any special 'dress up' photographs, as I only really have my day to day clothes, but I think they are nice enough to warrant a mention, so here we are... Me on the left... well here's another one from Seattle... me! I did a shoot last friday at Gasworks Park. here are couple pics she just sent me:     what a fun time! Playing with an altered camera, we decided to take Myspace-style pictures of ourselves. For those of you not familiar with the concept, you take the picture at an extreme angle to completely narrow out your face, and it's usually taken in the bathroom mirror with the camera in the shot. This camera doesn't actually work, we were just faking it.  Oddly enough, I don't even have a Myspace. |
