Would anyone know where I might find a downloadable copy of the Sarah Jane series? I have managed to miss it all thus far.
The last episode rocked, we laughed, we cried, we shouted and jumped up and down and it was amazing.

OK here's a question.
The doctor (either Pertwee or Baker) has to get to the middle of a maze city. I remember "adventure game" electrified floors and coloured tiles and similar. When he gets there the "operator" of the maze crumbles to sludge all over his chair.
Any ideas?

If RTD leaves us THAT kind of cuckoo's egg, I'll cry many moist and salty tears. Not even manly anymore.

Just dropping in to say that the major classic character news is now official: Sir Alistair Leithbridge-Stewart is returning! But only, as yet, in the Sarah jane Adventures.

Wow, I couldn't recognize him from those pictures on Outpost Gallifrey as being the same actor as the original Brigadier, but after researching a bit I see that it is the same guy. Man, has he aged quite a bit.
Anyone know what season SJA is in at the moment? I've only seen season 1. Is the season that the Brigadier is to make his appearance going to be season 2, or did I miss season 2 somehow?
Also, anyone have any info on whether there's to be a 3rd season of Torchwood?

SJA will be onto season two in the UK later this year, and Torchwood returns with a third, five episode, series, to be shown over subsequent weeknights on the BBC's prime channel, BBC 1.

Am I the only one who expects to see Mickey in Torchwood soon? He seemed awfully close with Jack at the end ("I thought I got rid of you") and they do have two positions to fill...
(Not that that would be a bad thing. I always liked him better than Rose)

If you read this rather long and convoluted statement (and it is worthwhile, believe me) in the end you will find out (apart from the realization that I like overly long sentences but am severely limited by the maximal amount of characters allowed on signatures) that you have just lost The Game.

Am I the only one who expects to see Mickey in Torchwood soon? I was thinking that too at the end of this last episode (Journey's End). I'm also hoping that we'll eventually see more of Jenny, the Doctor's daughter, at some point and Torchwood returns with a third, five episode, series, to be shown over subsequent weeknights on the BBC's prime channel, BBC 1.
only 5 episodes for the third season? but that's less than half a season

I like Mickey, I'm not sure if he would fit in with Torchwood though. He's a bit, I guess... too "wholesome" for that crew. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing, I dearly love Torchwood, and he could bring an interesting contrast, and conflict to it, though, really I think he'd basically fill Gwen's role from season 1. However, Gwen is still sitting rather comfortably in her position as the newbie viewers can relate to. I suppose since Ianto has been promoted in both literal rank and function to the team, Mickey could be the new coffee boy. Also, I am positively giddy to hear that Nicholas Courtney will be returning as the Brigadier again, even if it's just in the Sara Jane Adventures. The fact that he's been the only constant reoccurring character played by the same actor through nine out of the ten Doctors is simply remarkable. He was always one of my absolute favorite characters in the old series. I'll never forget the brilliance (not to mention the insight into his character and mind it gave.) of one line he had in Terror of the Zygons, when the Doctor wakes him up, (having been knocked out with sleeping gas by the villains.) Brigadier: "Asleep? Impossible! I was on duty!"

The Destroyer: Ah... little man. What do you want of me? Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart: Get off my world! The Destroyer: Pitiful. Can this world do no better than you as their champion? Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart: Probably. I just do the best I can.

Very nice to see the brigadier again! Currently SJA is the better Doctor Who (as a programme, not as a person, of course), it's more like the classic series. RTD proved that he can write good stories, just give him a low budget! I like SJA very much. But my favourite doctor is Jon Pertwee, so this is maybe only my opinion. Why not Mickey in Torchwood? He became a very interesting character, from "Mickey the idiot" to a strong, intelligent and -most important- interesting person.

The Brigadier was always a good foil for the Doctor to spar with as he often had very different goals and responsibilites.
Nicholas Courtney also took part as the brigadier in some of the Big Finish Audio dramas...

Courtney's work with Big Finish is utterly astounding, his performance in Zagreus is stunning and heartfelt, and in Sympathy for the Devil, thanks to a world without the Doctor, playing a disgraced Brigadier with tarnished reputation, but that glimmer of pride at knowing he did the right thing shining through... simply marvelous.
He's also brilliant in the U.N.I.T. miniseries they made, though woefully underused.
I think that on top of his ability to serve as a foil for the Doctor, they developed an interesting mutual respect, and an incredibly strong friendship out of their disagreements. I can't recall where it was said, but at one point, somebody said that the Brigadier was the Doctor's best friend. That thought makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.

And now for something slightly different, and of those who enjoy watching Top Gear. There's a segment in Top Gear (UK motoring show of sometime irreverence) called the Star in the Reasonably-Priced Car, where a celebrity drives around the Top Gear track in a Lacetti and tries to set the fastest time they can. Christopher Eccleston, David Tennant and Billie Piper have all had a bash at it. Now, a couple of bright sparks at the BBC (yep, BBC employees), during a break time, decided to mash up some clips of David Tennant doing his turn in the Lacetti but switched them with TARDIS clips instead. This was discovered by some bigger people at the BBC and uploaded to Youtube, after both the Doctor Who and Top Gear production crews had a good laugh over it:

Not sure about 'hilarious', but it made me smile! Yeah, I'm guessing it was a slow week at the Beeb But it shows they've got a sense of humour... the bits that made me chuckle were seeing the Doctor and Donna try to fix the TARDIS' understeer problems, and why the TARDIS should be driven in fourth gear, not third
