Ex-theatre costumes for sale in Worcester SAT 26th May

A friend of mine has just let me know that she is going to be selling some ex-theatre costumes via her vintage clothing shop in Worcester this Saturday (26th May).

There will probably be Medieval, Elizabethan and Victorian styles, clothing and accessories. There are mens and womens items. She's said there are also some "weird items".

I don't know how much stuff there is - though possibly a fair few pieces.

I have had a sneaky peek today and there is a lot of stuff, including undergarments (petticoats, underskirts including hooped/boned ones, corset covers, chemises), aprons, bustle pads, dresses, skirts, trousers, wigs, masks, hats, bonnets, shirts, waistcoats, tailcoats, capes, cloaks, weird and wonderful oddities, top hats plus so much more I can't remember! Condition varies considerably, but most seem fairly sound.

Thanks for letting us know about this. I high-tailed it down from Brum last weekend, and its fab, loads of great gear to rummage through. I counted 16 excellent tailcoats, a slew of Victorian and Edwardian style lapelled waistcoats, some seriously battered top hats. and loads of fantasy/panto type gear, all at a reasonable price. Good shop as well with some great retro gear if that's your bag. Smack in the middle of town, next to the train station. There's probably a lot there this week too, as the girl who runs the shop apparently had a stack more to put out. Good hunting.
