Not really done the Tribes thing but nosing on from the mention of Neverwas Haul I find this:

La Legion Fantastique is a new, proposed attraction for the Dickens Christmas Fair - 2007. Basically, the focus is Victorian science-fiction, ficticious exploration and fantasy. Jules Verne is the main emphasis (but we're not opposed to H.G.Wells). Please feel free to take a velvet-lined seat and open up the bronze window shields, and get ready for 20,000 Leagues of adventure.

They are propoing a Steampunk Ball in 2008:

PEERS is scheduling a Steampunk ball '08, probably set at the british emabasy on Venus, some time during the reign of Victoria.

Travel costs might be a bit steep though.

if I went 'round saying I was an Emperor just because some moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away!
