A bunch of us are going to the Columbia Diggins' event up near Sonora in the California Foothills. The good re-creationists of Columbia California and a few hundred of their closest friends will be creating a gold miner's tent city for the public. We thought we might get Steampunkified and check it out on Saturday the 31st of May. Its kid friendly, historical and oh so Brisco County Jr.

Its a real photo opportunity if nothing else! They have many preserved old buildings, vehicles and even a working smithy. There is a tea parlor and an icecream parlor as well....
