Alright, here's two of me. No real steampunkish attire as of yet, but the vintage fair's coming to my city soon, so with any luck that'll change. And yes, I actually glow like that in real life.

Hello! Since I've only recently discovered steampunk, and have yet to sew or purchase anything suitable, I'd thought I'd share some pics of me in the garb I do have. full length shot of the Florentine gown I recently completed the coat but didn't get any photos of me wearing it last weekend. The Blue Elizabethan looking a bit disheveled after a long hot day the first costume I made for myself: an attempt at early 16th century Italian pirate garb "Medievaloid" dress created from silk curtains (please disregard the hastily sewn barbette and fillet and the bare feet)

You just got up? Well, good morning to you, then, miss The combo does look rather nice, but...Is it supposed to look almost black, that shirt?

I think that you are not alone in your opinions, Miss Gale, however there are lots of people who post pictures and sometimes you do get lost in the Aether And one day you will get comments, others you won't. Tis the nature of the forum. Please don't take the lack of comments personally, I loved your pictures, particularly the piratey one!

If that is what makes a picture worth commenting on, then no pictures are even worth taking. However, I wasn't sure whether to put these up here, or in the playing dress up thread. i decided to put them here because they're not exactly steampunkish...but here's my pictures from halloween ^_^

So you want to see an image of me, do you...? Are you suuuuure?Might you have studied under the master Kilroy? Why yes, I did. For I was in fact alive during WW2, no matter how much my picture begs to differ. ...No, I'm just kidding (if you couldn't tell). I was simply being shy. And pulling a funny face. My eyes don't actually look like that, I can assure you. (I believe that graffiti also goes by the name 'Mr Chad', as another forum member pointed out.)

I especially like the first dress. My SCA persona is early Elizabethan (1560's-1570's time frame), though I usually dress in earlier period costume for events, given how hot it gets here in the Southern US.

I guess since I am no longer in my teens, did not pose suggestively, nor did I flash my (more than ample) bosom my photos don't deserve any comments. Miss Gale, you look lovely and your costumes are most elegant! I am also especially most fond of the black pirate outfit. However, there is a certain truth in your comment above. It has been noted and commented upon by others. As a moderator at Spare Goggles, I suggested the creation of a "Salacious Thread", so that those who wished to post more provocative photos (and receive the types of comments they garner), could do so, sparing the rest of us who merely wished to admire one another's handiwork and creativity the exposure to such tomfoolery. This idea has also been suggested here at BG, but alas, has not come to fruition. Rest assured, there are discerning individuals on this forum who do appreciate the loveliness of a mature woman. After all, almost anyone can look good at age 17, but it takes true inner and outer beauty to retain that charm into midlife and beyond. (I shall not expound upon the cleavage shot or provocative poses as I consider such things simply too cheap and common to be worthy of discussion). Chin up, dear lady! Regards, Mrs. S.

That worked pretty well over at SG, so I don't see why not. I think the only thing stopping it is the thread getting too out of hand, or being used, in the eyes of some, as a way to groom others (which spelled the end for the 'what's your kink' thread, I believe). Still, it would be worth a try.
