The IP Spider Wasp will be at your disposal. That is, of course, if you can pay the customary fee...

Not only can I pay the fee for your services, but also for your ammunition. I can also offer you a berth on the carrier-ship IFS Sehnsucht.
Although I usually travel separately if I can, I should also request that a birth be saved for the bumblebee, as she is not designed for long haul flights, more for routing out ruffians & revolutionaries!

Very well, I'll have the captain of the IFS Senhsucht save a berth for you, as well as stock up on the appropriate supplies.

I found one in Calais. Looking at the time I would suggest we all take a few steps back before the P&O sailing arrives here in a rather startling fashion...

One of my new battleships. A relatively quick, heavily-armed ship, designed to chase pirates down to an optimum range, and put a shell through their hulls. Her low profile and slanting bulkheads also reduce the chances of a damaging hit from a pirate ship. This ship can operate well alone as well as in a group.

How exactly does it fly?

I might have a go at the sea-pirates, after the air-pirates.

Do you want to fly it, or to fire those powerful guns?

Do you want to break the Pirate's ships to splinters, and to see them in ruins before you?

Do you want to see a display of martial power that any nation on the face of the world would envy?

Join the First Fleet now.

Membership of the pirate armies is a one-way ticket to hell...

Membership of the Fleet gives you a career, life skills, a steady wage and, critically, a lifetime in which to enjoy them.

what about a big, fast, heavily armed and armored, fast firing, state of the art, plane launching, Air-Dreadnought-Carrier, with enough ammo to fire the guns constantly for well over twenty years straight...I'd say that's pretty dangerous, and effective. and did i mention the free rum, food, guns, and women...free...

Drop the carrier bit and the ridiculour number of shells, and that sounds suspiciously like one of my own Yamato-class superdreadnoughts...

Would Her Majesty mind assistance from the US 2nd Air Fleet?  I could post a list (with pictures for reference) of the type, names and numbers of the ships under my command.... I have a feeling you could use them against the monstrosities in the Evil Inquisition's air-flotilla....

Well, I was only going to bring in the air version of a typical US Navy Carrier Battle Group:

1 Air Dreadnaught/Carrier
2 Air Cruisers (1 Air Battle Cruiser and 1 Guided Missile Air Cruiser)
4 Air Destroyers
2 Air Frigates
2 Air Patrol Craft (since that would be the closest airborne thing to the submarines that the Navy uses for picket ships)....

As I said, I'll post pics and such when I get home tonight. Grin

Lieutenant Bentley Percival Jondd, Aerographer's Mate First Class, will happily sign aboard to operate any and all weather sensing/manipulating equipment available.  Naturally, other duties appropriate to the grade are also applicable. ^__Q

You...may be stationed on the aerial city of New Babbage.

You can look after the main weapons, which are like weather, in a way.

Like weather in a way?  Please, do go on... Regardless, I shall do the duties to which I have been assigned to the best of my abilities and knowledge.  After all, one cannot always forsee where any theoretical combat will take them.

Well, erm.

At a quarter-percent power, the weapon can obliterate a dreadnought, the weapon can strike any point within 30 miles without needing line of sight, and takes a minute to charge between firings.

There are three, of course, each a mile across, so New Babbage can wreck a fleet every twenty seconds if needbe...

Just don't pay too much attention to the lead block that powers them.
