My latest gig is torsion powered weapons, and better still and this seems a great place to mention, our second daughter, due in November. Nancy Anastasia will be her name.

So, genetic engineering as well as tortion-powered weapons, then?

(Congratulations.)

Yes I also am a mad scientist.  I trained in medical biochemistry and for a while taught others the magical ways of blowing stuff up. There may still be a hole in the classroom ceiling, suicidal jelly baby is another old favorite.
My husband also holds a Doctorate in some such nonsense. Doctor Who is a firm favorite in our household.

I have now moved on to Catapult tech, with cooking science as a dual specialty.

I helped Herr Döktor buy a death ray......
Does that count?

Or does it just make me a facilitator? Igor was a facilitator. I see myself more as a byronesque character encouraging the Mary Shelly's of this world to explore their darker musings and cheering them on as they create the inevitable.

A benefactor to exploitative folly. Yes. I like that. Smiley

My Daughter's name wound up being Anna Louise. Perfectly 19th century sort of name.
