I Don't normally like watches, except maybe a good fancy pocket watch or a watch that wouldn't look out of place in Mad Max, but I love that watch!

Oh my, this IS one interesting design... a great concept which only could be improved by adding brown leather armbands and reworking the clock-body in brass, covered with a nice engraved cap. *sigh*

It counts every 4 years so you know when it happens to be a leap year. I want to see inside!

Have fun with the movement.. Vianney-Halters are quite the complicated bits of horology... Mechanical perpertual calendars are generally complex in nature. The calendar has 100 year accuracy and the watch takes 900 hours of watchmaker bench time to make. Cost? for this Antiqua Perpetua in 18K rose gold? $74,000 US The dials are also a bit more complex than the average: As is the case.. Cheers Harold

Cheers Harold That is not horribly expensive then. 900 hours from skilled watchmakers...does math...82.222 $/hour. Factor in the high cost of rose gold (any gold these days $964/ozt -wow!) and parts cost and the deal gets better. I wonder how much the company actually makes on this watch and how much their watchmakers make. Puts things in perspective. Thank you HAC, I was just about to post the link to those pictures, beautiful. -Prof. A. Morphous

I work on watches in my shop, that is the only brand of watch that has never walked through the door, but they are gorgeous.

I was going to suggest an analogy comparing this watch to Lamborigini...
Except that Lamborigini ain't got $#!^ on that. Can you imagine the patience and delicate hand required to concieve, design, and then build such a thing?

Wow, that is quite the chronometer there. And one that I highly doubt you'll be seeing knockoffs of in New York City.

I'm not usually one that goes soft over watches or other clockwork, but I gladly make an exception for that watch! What an utterly amazing piece of design! This really is perfection in every imaginable way..

If you liked that, then this may just tickle your fancy too.... You need a spare $220,000 in your pocket though... Edit - it's by a company called Cabestan by the way. Yum.

This one is cool too, but the other one is infinitely more refined, as well as far more practical..
