Can anyone remember the gadgets he had in the beginning of that one?  Methinks there be something there....

You mean Belles Father??

He was an inventor, but nothing particularly Steampunk. Just stuff that had already existed in that world.

If I was still a Moderator, I'd probably have to move this topic to "Off-Topic". Good try though.

I guess I came across this image from a set designer for the musical:

and couldn't remember anything about the guy's house (I haven't seen the movie for quite some time).  I was thinking if they put any more of this type of tinkering stuff into it.

This vehicle is kind of fun anyways...

...and forgive me if I am wrong, but isn't the proper location for a discussion of a film and musical in the audio-visual section?

Yeah it is... for Steampunk films. Not trying to be confrontational, I just don't really think Beauty and the Beast is very Steampunk at all. The invention in the shot from the play looks pretty cool, but I don't recall that vehicle being in the film.

Now Atlantis: The Lost Empire... That's probably the most Steampunk Animated Film Disney has ever done.

I came across the photo, I haven't seen the film since it came out, I was posing a question.

So yeah, man, you were being confrontational...

Right, you asked if their was something Steampunk in the film, to which I replied "No, not really", and made a comment that this should probably be moved to off-topic, as it doesn't pertain to Steampunk (which at the time you posted it, you didn't know... hence you asking if it was in some way related to the genre).

I don't see how that can be seen as being confrontational? Simply mentioning that since it does not actually pertain to the genre, it should probably be moved. Just because a topic is moved, doesn't say anything bad about the eperson that posted it. Just that it would fit better in a different board.

sorry for popping earlier, had a rough day.  I understand you didn't mean anything by it.

but that vehicle they created was wicked.  It was originally built around a golf cart, but then had to tune it down to be smaller for the stage.

No problem, I understand. Glad you could see my point before this became a misunderstanding.

Cheers!
