Fantastic! Really amazing work. I'd take my hat off to you but I'm not wearing one, so I'll leave it off a bit longer than usual.

Not at all Mr Pack, I had it on my thumbdrive.  I seem to remember it took me a while to find it originally.

I really love these sorts of things. The russian papers are an excellent addition and look really good.

Next project for someone is a collection of equipment and papers for a steampulp spy. Lots of passports and money in various currencies etc.

The 'Letter of Introduction' might still have been in use in Victoria's time as a way to vouchsafe for someones character or skills.

Thanks to my encyclopaedic knowledge of Miss Marple, I can confirm that the letter of introduction was in very common usage, particularly in rural english communities, until the second world war.  After that their use dropped off dramatically, making it much easier for people to pretend to be somebody they were not and committing despicable murders under a false identity.

mr Pack, perhaps you could make an entry in the 'trading' forum as there seems to be a demand for your fine wares, that is of course, if you'd still be up for commisions. Or of course, I can email you with my request. Smiley

i will be posting a link over in trading once I've polished everything up a little. The inspection papers need to be smaller and have more information. I'm also looking for other travel papers. I whipped up the letter of Recommendation from Miskatonic and hope to have at least 1 or 2 more official documents.

Those are fantastic! They look like you worked really hard. I love the realistic seals, signatures, and stamps. Wonderful job. I want some for myself, I'm so jealous.

An amazing achievement.  I too am looking forward to obtaining a set when they become available.  I hope you will keep us informed as to your progress.  Any particulars on your techniques would also be appreciated.

My hat is off to you, sir.

I spent a week trying to find a particular starburst seal used around the turn of the century for official documents. It's easy to find shiny gold ones, but they just aren't right. I finally tracked down a company in New Jersey that carries something close.

I am planning on ordering an actual embossing stamp. These were in use at the time and add a nice bit of texture. I am reworking the airship inspection paper as I don't like how it came out.

I want to get my hands on some actual newsprint to test out printing through my inkjet. It's pretty fragile stuff but it's what many paper documents would be printed on.

I have also located a nice resource for images of Victorian Insurance policies. With some photoshop I think I can clean one up.  One simply doesn't operate a private airship without insurance!
