Which IRCnet server?
If the server is on IRCNet, it doesn't matter. ircnet.eversible.com should always work though  |

Perhaps a problem with your client then? I just installed mIRC and it runs without a hitch.. though I had to retry to connect two or three times... (firewall issue)

To make this easier, I've moved the channel to DalNet. Simply use your favorite IRC client (or the ChatZilla Firefox plugin) to connect to the server "irc.dal.net" and join the channel #brassgoggles. I have registered it, so that it stays open even if we're all offline. If you can't work an IRC client, the website http://www.dal.net has a web based IRC system. See you there! |

I feel terribly sorry to bump this, but as I was just thinking about creating a Steampunk Channel, I was researching if there is already one in existence. Do not apologize for bumping. How else would people learn of the channel?
For one, I would rather people bumped threads more often, rather than creating duplicates. If an old thread is bumped, the information that has already been posted is more readily available to everyone, thus, people do not have to repeat themselves as often.

i think you already own a client for connecting to IRC, i suppose? (If not, google MIRC, KVIRC, use Chatzilla Plug in etc there are hundreds of clients) Open the client and connect to the DAL server (Command: "/server irc.dal.net 6667" without the quotation marks  ) You can change your nickname with /nick newname (the name can only be separated by _ or - but not with a space character) Finally, connect to the brassgoggle channel by typing "/join #brassgoggles" and your in the game. I was in there today and had a look and only Mjukis were there.

the channel is not used a lot.
this is why this topic has to be sticked.
in the next days i will try to write a little "Tutorial" to configure the mirc client to connect to the brassgoggles channel automatically, to make it as easy to connect into the channel as it is to connect to this Board.
unfortunately mirc-client is the only one i really know how to configure.

I have managed to connect to the IRC channel, but there is no-one here as far as I know :S
If you use Pidgin messenger:
Add a new account (IRC)
Username: Set as whatever you want.
Server: irc.dal.net
It will long on, then a message window will pop up, simple type:
/join #brassgoggles
