PIRATE, are you air-based?
Absolutely. I'd have a tough time of it as an airship pirate and "Scourge of the Airways" were I land or sea based, and not the captain of the Dollymop, a grand airship of imperial design, commandeered and upgraded by the brilliant scientists loyal to the P.I.R.A.T.E.S. council, as well as Admiral of a fleet of airships ranging from zeppelins to small, highly maneuverable steam ornithopters.

Mr. Shank, I found the name for my ship whilst searching the internet for Victorian slang for ladies of negotiable affection, her being a pirate ship and all...

mr flint, Col. hazard, welcome to the council. Please inform me posthaste as to the names of the vessels you captain (or your title and which vessel you serve on), and I shall update the list.
kiskolou, are you suggesting a protection racket? I can offer no guarantees, but that would go quite some way to insuring a minimum of raids upon your holdings.

I captain a lovely old dirigible that goes by the name of Perennial Fortune. Rigid construction be damned, multiple balloons attached to a gondola are the way to go!

If we are considering an alliance with the United Air-States council, I vote in favour of the motion.

I must agree... An alliance would only help in the matter.

Our numbers are growing quite rapidly. Indeed, as it stands now, based on council membership listings in the threads, we are one vote from being able to hold a deadlock against an alliance of both of the other formalized councils. Grin
I feel that at this time, as we are stronger than any of the other councils, the P.I.R.A.T.E.S. should maintain our independence from the other councils and refrain from any alliance for the time being. I welcome discussion on the matter.

Stilleto, i believe that an alliance may be neccesary between us two, in the case that the other counsels gang up on us...when they begin to get more members. You just have the best name...

As Ruler of the Imperial Duchy of McIntyre, I invite all ladies and gentlemen of the air to find safe harbor within my realm. nominal charges for storage of airships, warehousing of saleable materials, etc., may apply.  And now that I am looking for someone to make coins, you may be assured that our banks are perfectly safe and discreet- they only use numbers on the accounts. We are also home to numerous brokers, assayers, and assessors of luxury items, and we intend to build a casino to rival that of Monte Carlo. Grin

I understand your desire to be independent, but if we gain the friendship of the other air-based council, it could act as good insurance against attack in future. Also, we then indirectly control all of the skies, and nobody can stop us! We can throw lumps of coal at the sad, sad people living on the ground, crushing their spirits!

Oh my, the pirating possibilities are making me giddy.

Hmmm... that was borderline on offensive to our esteemed selves. Councilor Kiskolou, I would advise you to observe more tact in your dealings with this council in the future, or you may find yourself at war. and P.I.R.A.T.E.S. are very good at war...

I humbly request to join your council, good Admiral.

As far as aircraft go, despite my love of steam-powered things, I am rather fond of my dear Vaporous Blue, a small hydrogren balloon... with clockwork ornithopter wings.

Welcome to the council, Luminous Grey.

mr flint, i agree, both OBSCURE and the United Air States are on our watched list.

I have made tentative advances toward securing a truce or alliance with the League of Ishmael, most recently announced of the councils, as I feel they are the most compatible with our agenda.
