You realise that the lower number of a series (137 of 500) the more valuable She's going to be?. So I'd try to restore Her to factory specs, as much as possible. There aren't enough old vehicals on the roads as it is.

He'd probably give you 'an offer you can't refuse' maybe he'll trade it for his tank car.

What a love story. And what a family treasure! I only hope you get to keep her; it seems you might put all your heart and soul into this restoration and then someone will make you an offer you can't refuse and she'll end up at the Beaulieu Motor Museum or somewhere. It's true that everyone can admire her there, but isn't your dream to go flying along the road with the chrome flashing in the sun having her all to yourself?
Best of luck with this great project!

I would say go with your heart on what you want to do with her. She'll be beautiful not matter what, but with just a bit of your heart in her, she'll be stunning. Thank you for sharing the pictures, but thank you more for the stories. It's not hard to forget with the daily tasks at hand that true beauty can lie just inches away, and happenstance can make life so very interesting.
