It appears that Fred Dibnah's home is up for sale according to the BBC

It comes with his engine shed, workshops and a recently-developed mine shaft - complete with winding gear. Anybody got a spare £350,000 - £500,000 to spare?

from what i remember, his mine shaft and winding gear was made illegally without planning permission, and he was actually ordered to take it down and fill it in.
he didnt fill it in before he died though, so anyone who bought it would have to lose a big chunk of their investment Sad

Apparently not. According to the article it was given planning permission after his death. However you'll have to wait till January now because of a boundary dispute.
