Early video footage of Newport's Transporter Bridge could be among the oldest surviving video shot in Wales

The film is from the opening ceremony, which was held in 1906.

Video footage which is more than 100 years old has been converted to digital format after videographer John Seer found the original among some of his old tapes.

(I think that the article wasn't proof read)

It's a common mistake; I've seen many professional articles in respected publications refer to "video" from historic events. I worry that people will forget that there was such a thing as film.
