So...getting into the crafty side and my first idea I want to make happen is how to make a monocle that'll flip down from the brim of a top hat, like the visor in a car.  Any suggestions on hinge/how to adhere it/products that'll hold up to what ever adhesive/fastening gets used?

Ordering super small hinges on ebay from china could be a solution yes : )

The solution will follow what hat and monocle you have in mind, show us those

You could cannibalize a pair of Dwayne Wayne glasses:

May I suggest something like these two:-

which clip on, thus reducing the trauma to the hat...?

https://www.nearsights.com/ These look interesting. If I didn't need bifocals, I would get one.

doll house hinges are tiny, but they're not that strong.  Maybe a jewelry box hinge.  Neither would hold the monocle in position, it would just flop.

Maybe modify a pair of flip-up clip-on sunglasses?
