The word pagan came from paganus , who mean peasant . Its was a way to significate than christianism was the religion of the elite and paganism the one of the savage worker class.

''Trickster shows us how we trick OURSELVES. Her rampant curiosity backfires, but, then, something NEW is discovered (though usually not what She expected)! This is where creativity comes from—experiment, do something different, maybe even something forbidden, and voila! A breakthrough occurs! Ha! Ha! We are released! The world is created anew! Do something backwards, break your own traditions, the barrier breaks; destroy the world as you know it, let the new in.''

Having just got around to watching the first episode all I can say is it looked good but was so slow that  if they decide to do all the Oz stories the cast have got job security for life!

Firstly I should say I have not seen this programme, but I recognise the feeling of a 'slow' pace; some of these series with twenty some-odd episodes, planned to run over five or more seasons, just string things out for so long you want to shout at the telly "Get on with it!" I know a criticism of many UK series is that they are too short, but keeping to six or eight episodes (e.g. a Ripper Street run) does at least keep things focused.

Of course, my ramblings above mean absolutely nothing so long as people enjoy the series, so I hope those following it continue to do so.

Yours,
Miranda.
