Ah, I do like tiny bottles; my challenge, as usual, is what to put in them.

It looks like your Father is off to a good start, perhaps a collection of samples of weird metals- needs a label, perhaps, in a nice box?

Very nice. Is that a wick in the wax? Can these be used as candles?

Yours,
Miranda.

It is, and i suppose they could be used as candles. It is candlewax after all. The wick is really short, however, so i don't think they will burn for a long time.

Has your father always been a bit steam-punky, or have you 'turned' him?

Sadly I never see the pictures you post.
If I open them in another tab this is what I get:

Hehe my father and i both came in contact with steampunk for the first time at the very same day. We were both charmed, and my father has always taken a liking in tiny things and little details. He has an Orchard and wherever you walk you will find little hidden secrets. Bottles he hang on places, tiny doors he made on trees, little statues carefully placed....

Sadly I never see the pictures you post.

Oh I love bottles and flasks specially the perfume ones with a tiny cork ae so beautiful! There is certanly a lot of things to do with all sizes shapes and colours of bottles. Jewelry made out of the inch size glass flasks is very nice and easy to make if you are into crafting por you can buy them bit allways is better if you create your own accesories.

Sounds to me it's also likely the browser security settings are turned up too high. And / or the possibly outdated browser... Undecided

selectedgrub: try using a different browser such as Chrome, and if that works, check the settings & version of your usual web browser. Also clear the browser 'file cache' (images, cookies etc) and browser "DNS Host Cache". A quick google search will show you 'how to' on your specific browser. Wink

It hurts my head turning it 90degrees to the left.  They appear to be two old bottles.
I see old bottles from time to time at the shops I visit.  Some small, some medium size, and all these years I've wanted to purchase some,
but did not have a clue as to what to do with them until now.
Leyden Jars!  Old bottles with a bit of aluminum or gold foil would make great Leyden Jars!

Your father sounds like a very talented & interesting person.  I think I'd like him.  Get him an account on Brass Goggles.  Creativity seems to run in your family.

I think he would like to chat with you, and many others on here as well, but a few things hold me back from getting him an account. The most important is, I think, that my dear father does not speak, write or understand the english language...and even if that was not an issue he is the kind of man that prefers to be outside, tending to his plants and chickens rather than sitting behind a computer. If you would like I can start a thread about my fathers projects, with the pictures he likes to send me :3

I, for one, would like that.  Perhaps others would as well.
