Re. the tyre issue: amongst the clutter on my desk my eye has lit on one of those "show the world you support my charity" rubber wristband thingys*
Experiment shows it slips nicely onto a 6 cm diameter beer can... so acquire 4 wristbands and bond them onto the rims with rubber cement or contact adhesive and you has tyres Grin



*"2012 Carbon Challenge" apparently: God only knows how it got onto my desk top, 4 years ago, and is still there...
