Hi there, another Steampunk inspired scale model build...

You can follow the genesis over at Scalemates https://www.scalemates.com/profiles/mate.php?id=12750&p=albums&album=31606

.

The model is a marriage made in heaven  Undecided (or hell?) of a classic Talbot Lago GP and a steam engine (for this to work the driving direction of the Talbot had to be reversed...). As I write over at Scalemates initially the whole set-up was supposed to be workable (as the model of the Faller Steam Machine already is as it is designed to be connected to an electrical motor) but my modeling skills (or lack thereof) resulted in a fiddly fit of the parts so I had to glue everything into place  Sad

Some more impressions:

That is a lovely model, and some very creative work to marry together the two different source kits. It does look all set to steam off and set a land-speed record.

Yours,
Miranda.

Wow!

Persons intending to travel by open carriage should select a seat with their backs to the engine, by which means they will avoid the ashes emitted therefrom, that in travelling generally, but particularly through the tunnels, prove a great annoyance; the carriage farthest from the engine will in consequence be found the most desirable.

Did you just go PSSSSSSST at me or have I just sprung a leak?
