...for you are crunchy and good with ketchup.

Also, dragons are egotistical, vain, opinionated, prideful, and very, very difficult to work with.

I got this dragon as a prize in a Steampunk animal contest.  I had planned to give him wings and a Steampunk makeover, but he had slightly different ideas.

He liked my idea of a copper re-finish, but insisted on turquoise eyes (“Like verdigris,” he said).

Next he complained that the copper adornments didn’t show up well.  “Gold!,” he said.  “They must be GOLD!”  (He uses a lot of exclamation points.)

Then he discovered a crown charm in my stash.  “I am KING!”  he said.  “Obey me!” That was the end of my input.

“The gold is lovely with my copper scales, but the black leather harness for the wings is too plain.  How about studs?  Oh, no, wait—use the gold JEWELS!”

“Oooh, those turquoise jewels match my eyes!  Use them!”  (See what I mean about the exclamation points?)

more to come.  I wonder what it will be...

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen.
Very nice work indeed.
Trust a dragon to know when to go for gold.

Thanks, guys.

This IS a work in progress--he's got wings now (and they make him much more dragonlike), but maybe they need a bit more adornment.  I'll take pix when the glue dries.

I've always had a thing about Dragons from a youngster (born 1964, Chinese year of the Dragon)

I must say you have transformed the lizard with halitosis into a fine looking winged beast with finesse.

Good job, I like it alot!

Thanks for the link; I enjoyed reading his demands almost as much as I enjoy seeing your beautiful work.
Does he realise how lucky he is to have such a consummate artist handling his transformation?

Oh, he is lovely. I suppose you can condone such a demanding nature in one so splendidly crafted. Whoever receives him as a gift will be very lucky.

Yours,
Miranda.
