I had a thought about some of the added extras we love to wear, and wondered how it could be more practical. A chatelaine is very useful, and historical, but I wanted to think outside the box a little. So, I give you The Tinkerer's Medal:

I've just seen a belt buckle (couldn't get a link) bottle opener, screw driver, phillips screw driver and a bolt driver.  I think your construction is extremely elegant and ideas like yours will be coming up in many interesting ways.
