I changed our project from Tardis to Steam Punk because of BBC legal claims via Trademark registrations.  In Australia the BBC did not get Patent or Registered Design and Copyright is not applicable but they got protection via Trademark Registrations.

I am building it at a Men's Shed and the shed may decide to hire it for parties so we do not want legal hassles and of course Steam Punk should be more fun.

Our "S.S. Tempest" (S.S. Tempest is a construction name) is a box/portal to a Gazebo tent that houses the "bigger on the inside"/Control Centre.  See mud map illustration.

The box/portal is steam powered with a boiler on the roof.

I am thinking of painting the hinges on the door red and adding a big spring gate closer also intend painting it red. The door handle will be made from a spanner.  The only other feature will be a roll out carpet between the box/portal and the Gazebo annexe.

As an aussie alternative, we never had the blue police boxes here, so a Mk40 would have had to chameleon itself as a Red PMG Phonebox.
