Hey guys! It's been a while!
I've made a new suit of armor for my miner character: (me nerding out with baymax)

If you guys want closeups of anything, let me know! Smiley

Nice armor, but are you mining for marshmellows? Grin

Try taking some shots outside for "all around" lighting Wink.
and show us your mining tool.

Any WIP shots?

Wow - there's clearly been a huge amount of work gone into that outfit; very impressive. And yes, a few close-up shots of individual items would be much appreciated.

Yours,
Miranda.

If anyone else can't see this picture, click "quote" in the original post, then copy the image's url then "paste and go" in the address line to see the picture. It's a good one, and worth the effort.

And I agree, we need to see more of the outfit, like a full front.

Thank you guys! Not to do the "Buy it here" thing, but honestly the best place to see higher res images would be my etsy.

the gauntlets: https://www.etsy.com/listing/272894268/steampunk-gauntlets?ref=shop_home_feat_2

Full frontal (dirty mind is dirty) : https://scontent-lax3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/t31.0-8/13055146_10153627680142426_5740423095781188414_o.jpg

In case you guys are wondering about why it's so asymmetrical, I have a really strange upper body shape. It feels, and looks comfortable when on, just not when it's laid out.

I'll post pictures of the belt and pouches tomorrow. Thanks for the kind words guys!

and also, any and all critique is welcome too. This is my second pauldron set I've done, and only my 5th set of gauntlets, so I could use critique. Been doing leathercraft for about 2 years now, and absolutely In love. Trying to get a business to take off actually.

Stunning work on the gauntlets.
The gear placement is random perhaps you can make them look like they do something.

Thanks! I tried to layer them in under the leather though? The three on top do look a little decorative though I will admit, but I felt the others looked pretty embedded? Maybe not. Either way, a good thing to point out! Smiley

What are the large plates made of?

The plates are actually aluminum flashing! Smiley I might use something thicker next time, but this has been my go to for plating for a long time. Hard to give up a habit!

If you guys would like to see more of my work, or my progress, You can either add me on my personal page (more often posting work) https://www.facebook.com/Sprinkles.Of.Sunshine
Or, my buisness page: (Post less, but you can still see my work there:) facebook.com/cogsncords

</shameless plug>

I appreciate all the feedback. As to the guy who stated that the gears kinda looked pointless. What ones are you referring to? Lots of gears. Smiley
