So it's beautiful, I hope you realise there's no argument there, but how much does this bugger weigh? Shocked

I have a small collection of animal pairs for the ship.  Some maybe fixed in place, while others will be movable allowing you to play.

I had the idea of calling it Norah' Ark.  That is Noah's little known sister.  She built an ark like her brother, but then added the airbag for insurance, but alas poor Norah crashed and was never seen again.  Of course Norah was carrying the unicorn and the dinosaurs.

That's wonderful, a Deadalus and Icarus type of story. Cheesy  She rose too high and the envelope ripped  Roll Eyes But not all animals perished, Ol' Nessie learned how to swim. When the waters receded, Nessie was trapped in the loch Grin

Thank you all.  I do like making these airships.  Lots of fun.

This is the heaviest one to date and overall the largest.  Its weight is not too bad.  My guess is 50 lbs.  The tank used for the gas bag is much lighter than it looks.  The hull of the ark itself is the heaviest part as it is made from a fire extinguisher.

I think I am done adding stuff to this one.  Sprayed it up today.  I'll post pictures soon.

Great addition to the story.  Thanks!

This is the ultimate truth, and nobody can state otherwise

I remember seeing a very short amateur animated French film about why dragons don't exist - turns out they were too lazy to get up in time to catch the ark!

Wait no more, my friend.  Here are some pictures of the completed piece with the animals, Noah and Mrs Noah.

Cabin on top of gasbag.  Working rudder and seats inside, but hard to see.

On its stand.

Cabin removed to reveal lower deck with stalls.

Up the loading ramp.  Ramp stores below the gasbag.

Made a transport box out of plywood.  Needed it just to get the piece up from my shop to where I am set up to get good photos.

Thanks for the past input.  Enjoy.

Just weighed it.  Turns out to be a little heavier than I estimated.  Without the stand or animals it is 68 pounds.

Hopefully it will find a home quickly so I don't have to carry it to too many shows.

I really like the gondola on this one, wide, long and chunky looking. I'm sure it won't hang around for too long and find a good home very soon, as ever, superb work Mr M.

It would be awesome if that newly opened museum would purchase it, but you're going to need to add dinos. Tongue

Maets, I have a concern that I have been putting off mentioning.  It is the elephants.  White elephants?  To me they look unfinished.  Could they not be painted pale grey?
