Latest Steampunk 'Cabinet of Curiosities' piece.
Pygmy Demon (Pygmaeus Daemon).

Made from an 18" plastic skeleton, mixed with some unwanted Taxidermy, from a long deceased Pheasant and Partridge.
Added Extra 'spurs' to legs, elbows and back, a tail, and horns, all made from a two part repair putty.
The wings are made from garden wire armature, and scraps of masking tape.
All painted to blend, and varnished to finish.
The lovely large, antique French glass Cloche, was found at a yard sale, and this inspired the whole build!.
Just need to make a museum label for it.
I hope you like it  Smiley

I love it! There's nothing to give away its humble origins.

Nice work!

That looks wonderful! Perhaps proof of the existence of imps? You're a veritable Ripley.   Grin

Great build and a perfect paint job.  The pose fits the cloche beautifully.  It all works so well you'd think the demon was trapped in there and burned when exposed to sunlight.

Thanks everyone, for the positive feedback.  I hope to continue the curiosities, it depends on what turns up on all
the table top sales, and in the various shady establishments I dig through  Wink

It's great to see the other works in progress on here, the diversity is admirable, and the talent, undeniable.

Beautiful work.  If you ever want to do wings like that again.  Coffee filters wet with white glue make excellent membranes.

Thanks for the heads-up on the coffee filters, that idea will be stolen in due course Smiley

I agree.

I'd feel far safer if there were an appropriate magical symbol marked on the cloth below it, to ensure its continuing confinement.

Not in the cloth, either in small gold letters around the side of the wooden stand or as a preserved piece of parchment on the museum card.

Or a small wooden stake between his ribs. And silver shackles.

But really, he is so gorgeous. Well, I think he is already dead.
