Long time, no post; just been tinkering with an ongoing Art Deco style robot

Torso and head, made mainly from acrylic two-part baubles, the head is the lid from a folding bottle from Poundland.

One of the hands, all the joints are hinged!

All in one piece, just about standing.

Coat of primer, and posed- though the hips don't work, it keeps falling over!

New hips- using a pair of springs against a central hub as a clutch, so it can be left in position, all held together with a machine screw running through a central brass tube.

Hopefully more soon!

He looks great- so animated, if you get my meaning.
Are all of the joints made from scratch? They are so in keeping with the style!

Agreed. In Navy Gray or a camouflage paint job with proper military markings.

He looks great, I imagine the joints are a complicated affair, but well worth the effort.
I think a dull Pewter colour, with copper joints would work, but whatever you go with
he cuts an impressive figure!.

It looks a bit like the older brother of the robot that Gyro Gearloose has.
