Turn it into a biplane.  Turn the wing into a canvas covered structure. Mess with the horizontal and vertical stabilizers.  Maybe add some un-streamlined features.  Make it look more primitive. Add some struts and cables like you see in older aircraft. Make the fuselage look a bit like a zeppelin.

Oh, how about  red and black smokestacks along the top of the fuselage like an ocean liner and a cow catcher, for, you know, safety?

In that case I think you could safely call it a bird catcher/rammer/shield.

Give it a big hump to offset the wings a bit more, then add  wing floats and a boaty belly kit for super sea-plane goodness (seaplanes being the 2nd most steampunk of all heavier than air aircraft after airship launched ones).

Cut more holes in the fuselage for promenading, taking in views and for smoking decks.

Add more wings and/or make them squarer, modem aerodynamics just don't fly. Umm, wait...

Make it able to launch little plane fighters/scouts.
