Brass Goggles is back. Thank You! However it's running slow, hate to be depressing but sometimes that means it's going to go down again.

Great scott, was that you?

I had assumed not being able to log in was part of the death throes of my sclerotic old device.

It would appear I missed all the drama while wrestling the thing back to a state of unnatural youth.

I am glad the crisis was averted.

Can't have you going out, Atherton, meeting any people, let alone other people!!

I went next door for home made pizza, but as I had already met the people next door, it doesn't count!

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen.
I had several Steampunk events this weekend and was piqued not to have my morning dose of inspiration and information.
I'm so grateful for the work the admins do to keep BG in my life.

Me too.
I felt a bit lost without BG, not because I'd have to get out and meet people but because I couldn't 'meet' the right people

Well I am just glad that I had my archery to distract me.
My bad impression of Robin Hood raised a few smiles over the weekend, but my pocket still hurts from spending a cup of tea short of £1000!
Thanks for bringing it back !

Try clearing cookies and your browsing history, that seems to be the best fix in my experience (if refreshing the page doesn't work).

Too right. I just... Look I haven't been around often because I feel like i've run out of things to say. However here has been around for close to a decade and id hate to see it go.

Also any chance at putting backups on archive.org? Like regular backups? Here is practically an institution of sorts community wise and I seriously don't want that to be lost even when the place inevitably goes away.

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen.
I use Firefox.

And the forum is running very slowly this morning, indeed.

Yes to the idea of archives. The accumulated knowledge here is an incredible resource for steamers around the world.

Last thing in History.

Clearing everything will mean you will have to re login with any passwords used on sites

(Here for example). So make sure you know them.

A handy utility I use is ccleaner, again be carefull what you do and make sure you are certain

before hitting the clean button. I clean mine almost every day.
