Sneaking in to add my two cents worth...I repurpose ribbons from sports medals bought in bulk from second-hand shops.  There are always plenty of particpation medals that people dump after the fact, and you often get a variety of colours and widths.

Should you happen to have a manufacturer of hats near you, I've found hat ribbons work splendidly and come in a vast range of colours/patterns.

Hat ribbons can be obtained at any good haberdasher's or fabric shop - should be available at Spotlight, or Lincraft.

The Order of Prometheus, a hand holding a flame or holding a flaming torch.

Sounds good.
Maybe even a lightning bolt and a soldering iron crossing.

I've just made this as a belated birthday present for my younger brother in the forces. It was put together as a collection in a 'memory box' frame, and as he's a real sci-fi fan, I hope he enjoys it as much as I do. I might have to make another one for myself!

The word 'iconic' is vastly overused... but that certainly is an iconic collection there. Any science fiction fan worth of the name would treasure that.

Yours,
Miranda.
