Not mad, just a little odd...

While chopping up a woven leather belt to scavenge a strip for my hat wings, I noticed that the end without the buckle, when unwoven, looked suspiciously octopus-like but with insufficient appendages, which I rectified with some more belt segments and a couple of chicago screws.

As well, I finally finished up the balance pans that I started making for a cast iron balance scale which had long since lost its original pans.  I made them from plaster, using a round decorative box from the dollar store as a form. I sanded them today, and at some point I may even paint them up with a protective enamel coat, and maybe even give them a faux marble look. (OK maybe "finally finished" isn't the right term...)  Tongue
