I came to Steampunk via Cowboy Action Shooting (www.sassnet.com).

Now that I have "drank the kool-aid", I'm in it big time.

I've taken a shot at some bracers that I re-purposed from a pair of Cowboy Roper cuffs.

I'm also having a vest made out of the pattern you see on the back drop.

The wrenches belonged to my Grandfather, so they could realistically be "period correct".

Beautiful workmanship - the vest should look pretty good too, when made up - it's great looking fabric.

probably better that way. Won't fall out and get lost while you're just walking around that way

My Good Rolan -
when I read the title I was thinking one of our UK counterparts was looking for leather suspenders....

but you made the most excellent arm cuffs/ arm bracers! I particularly like how you incorporated a variety of useful tools!

Now you have me thinking along the same line, but sheathing pencil, pen, an assortment of screwdrivers, revolver nipple pick,
capping tool, small knife, etc .  I shall have to work out how to hold them in , perhaps with snaps ala a knife keeper strap, instead of the chicago screw you used. time to review the crazy kung-fu and ninja movies where they carried a dozen throwing knives on each arm .... Perhaps I can even incorporate a small notepad somehow

It does rather depend upon whether one habitually carries a percussion pistol ....  Wink

Great Scott,, you don't kid around, do you.

Those, sir, are a magnificent conversion, all the better for semi-plausible practicality.

Thank you for the kind words.

Now, If I can only get the gunsmith to finish the Cerakoting on my 1887 I'll be on my way!

I also found a wonderful Hydrodipping film for the grips of my revolvers http://www.fractalcamo.com/store/p528/Steampunk_Pipe_Pattern.html

Will do.  I just dropped the fore end wood off to be hydro dipped, along with my Ruger Blackhawk grips.

Should be about 2 weeks.  Meanwhile the gun smith who is doing the Cerakoting is saying "mid-next week" to finish his piece of the project.
