The word pagan came from paganus , who mean peasant . Its was a way to significate than christianism was the religion of the elite and paganism the one of the savage worker class.

''Trickster shows us how we trick OURSELVES. Her rampant curiosity backfires, but, then, something NEW is discovered (though usually not what She expected)! This is where creativity comes from—experiment, do something different, maybe even something forbidden, and voila! A breakthrough occurs! Ha! Ha! We are released! The world is created anew! Do something backwards, break your own traditions, the barrier breaks; destroy the world as you know it, let the new in.''

Good day

I think the song Vysotsky, something consonant with the theme. Need to hear the words, but maybe just sounds like it.

I couldn't understand a word of it - it's a rollicking  good video though

It's a film - "the Ballad of the valiant knight Ivanhoe" — a Soviet film based on the novel by English writer sir Walter Scott's "Ivanhoe", directed by Sergei Tarasov in 1982.

In the narrative well interwoven 4 ballads of Vladimir Vysotsky, specifically written in 1975.

This is one of them.

I think I found the translation, but I don't know how good is it.
