Oh...my old war wound? I got that at The Battle of Dorking. Very nasty affair that was, I can tell you.

The Ministry of Tea respectfully advises you to drink one cup of tea day...for that +5 Moral Fibre stat.

Saw the first episode last night. Enjoyable, but we feel that it may have been a tad rushed or, more so, a tad short on information. It just felt as though there should have been more...more of something, but I don't know what exactly that 'something' is. More baking, more history?

Each episode is a weeks worth of effort. This seems as though it could fit within 3 days worth of the Pottery Throwdown episodes.

Obviously, we will continue to watch it. There's always good content from the BBC.

Each to thier own but the day I watch a twist on the Brirish Bake Off is the day I pull out my eyes with a corkscrew, gladly climb into an Iron Maiden and slam the door shut.

Now if the Beeb do a series on how to create a tasty meal using nothing but Happy Shopper produce with no garlic, pasata, grilled shark, squid, Parmesan, Tofu, pesto, avacado, anchovies or asparagus, then I may, just may be interesred.

Take note Heston Oliver Fernly Whittingshit or whatever your name may be. Grin

But this isn't a twist on the Bake-off.
Each episode is showing baking as it progressed through the decades, how it was done and why and it's challeges.  It is NOT who can bake what the best at all.

Just watch it, seriously.

You know was absolutey horrific?  The American version of the Bake-off. What total horse shit! Didn't even get a quarter through it, bad, bad, real bad.
