I don't now much about it, but from this & what I've read in next week's RT it looks like fun.

20 parts is a tremendous commitment on the part of the BBC, and it does look interesting. Hope it lives up to the hype.

They are 30 minute episodes, but even so, I tend to agree.

I'm interested.
I'm guessing they mean a team-up of existing characters, rather than a fully formed group (Fantastic Four, X-Men etc...)

Will probably have to wait years for it to come down under - but I have patience!

I... I like it.  It's an unusual take on Dickens, and it puts me in mind on occasion of Bleak Expectations, but it's enjoyable.  And it is gently pushing me toward reading Dickens (I keep putting him off until I've read other, lesser known Victorian authors such as Collins and Trollope), which is no bad thing.

After the initial 4 episodes it's now all over the place in the TV schedules.
So I'm recording the rest.
Enjoying it a lot.

Sadly the BBC have announced that there will NOT be a 2nd series because of low viewing figures.

Maybe if they hadn't started showing it over the Christmas period when lots of people are doing other things it might have been different.

Still, it's 'self contained' story without a 'cliff hanger' ending and I recommend the DVD box set to anyone who hasn't seen it.
