I was looking for the origins of a certain type of insulated wire called "Bell Wire", and I found this old engineering publication on Google Books.

"The Telegrapher: Journal of Electrical Progress", a journal of the National Telegraphic Union, documents developments in electrical technology in the years 1864-1877, when wired telegraphy was the state of the art.
