For those with an interest in UK transport history and access to BBC broadcasts and/or iPlayer, there are a couple of programmes on BBC4 this evening and tomorrow you may wish to have a look at. Tomorrow it's  Canals, the Making of a Nation looks at the building of the Leeds-Liverpool canal, and tonight was a repeat of Ian Hislop Goes Off the Rails, which does include some historical context going back to the Victorian era but mainly focuses on the Beeching cuts.

Yours,
Miranda.

If anyone who has access could give us reports on the pertinent shows, that would be greatly appreciated.

^There's this Bear, who likes to hang out in Tunnels and he/she can permit you to see BBC programs. And it's free.

The British Film Institute (BFI) has a lot of vintage and transport, and even vintage transport, material on its Youtube channel..
