Thanks again for keeping us informed.

My pleasure.  As you can see, I try to see the boiler as half full.

Ok, ok, I'll leave the room....and don't remind me that if one can't say something nice.......

In all seriousness, I just can't bring myself to watch it. I may be loosing out. Undecided

Spoiler alert, if you watch On Demand.
(Though I get the impression most of you aren't watching at all.)

The Steampunk'd finale aired Wednesday and was a three-way battle between Steampunk Eddie, JW, and Miss Morgan.  Their objective was to build a family room with costumes and appropriate gadgets and furnishings.  Eliminated contestants came back to form a pool of talent and each of the finalists was given a surprise "model" to outfit.
The focus was more on the personal side of the finalists and how much of their personality would creep into their creations.
All three efforts were excellent and Morgan showed surprising ability at room construction, which we didn't know she had.  The two guys ended up delegating the costume work to their laborers, which took away a bit from their need to extend themselves into unfamiliar ground.
I did enjoy the series and I think it will spread the word to the public in a fairly positive way, with attractive and intelligent hosts and judges proving that we're not all eccentric shut-ins.  Wink

Ok I'm gonna throw in my 2 bobs worth.

All contestants were pretty much arrogant, ain't I great apart from the elfy eared girl.
who was knocked out early.

Too much slap a cog on and call it.

JW was the most creative both in ideas and craftmanship.(but possibly the most self centred)

Being a Brit, didn't have a clue who the judges were (apart from Kato)

I think I enjoyed it but, just too American (woops, hollas and general drama queen sickening pap
to add false, unnecessary tension for effect)

IF they do a second season, will watch.

On the plus side at least it's promoting Steampunk in a good way, encouraging makers
to step up and be shown on national TV, which can only be a positive thing.

Hmmm! This is exciting! Fortunately, I have some special services on my cable package and I'm able to record several of these episodes and watch at leisure. I can't wait to set aside a nice big block of time and watch several in one go, that could give me a better overall sense.

But of course I'll keep a weather eye towards the fabled Bay of Pirates for any rumor of packaged sets of the season's episodes.
