Quit it, us old timers need something to 'ooo' and 'aaah' over and without intriguing work like yours and others we'd fall asleep.

Maybe it's the slow release of images. So many are in 'need' of 'show me everything, now' that they're possibly just waiting to review it all when it's finished. I, personally, don't mind suspense.  Smiley

Don't let it put you down or stop from posting. Do what you love and be proud to show it, one never knows what may come of it!

I work away a lot and you might be surprised the number of places you can't get internet.
I might not post very often but I come back when ever I can to see what you have been up too and I always enjoy what I see.

Don't worry! As you are one of ( THE? ) most consistent and prolific posters, I'm sure I speak for many others when I say I look forward to your work, even if it's just one oddly shaped bit of ali or brass, and even if we can't yet tell what it is- I tend to look on it like a postal jigsaw, or one of those part-build mags to make a ship or something that takes years to take shape, (and costs a fortune beyond what the parts are worth) before you can even tell what it will look like when it is done.

That's part of the fun!

There are not many left on here who make things, these days, or post what they make (Most Guilty here M'lud-  Embarrassed ) so you are are a real treasure, even if you only put up one picture every few months, we know you are still at it, torturing the metal, and taming it, and we are inspired, perhaps to do a little bit when otherwise we could not raise the enthusiasm.

So carry on, don't be disheartened. Many eyes are watching, enviously, your skills and talent, and we would be diminished here without them.

So don't you dare stop! ( Until it's finished....then you can keep posting the other stuff...  Grin )

Don't make me (us) come down there!  (It's too far...)

As you were. Carry on!

(and breathe)Thanks!

HP

p.s - if you don't mind me asking, after all that- do you think it will weigh more, because of the added brass, or less, due to all the alloy you have carved away?

cheers...

Ok I will continue.
A pre warning that without the brass copper and stuck on gears there will be disappointment.
Unfortunately the contrast of said things make stuff look cooler than it is.

Mr Hektor Plasm the weight will be the same regardless.  Wink

With the stainless removed I only have to file blend the outside lava.

Something for your ride, perhaps?

No sorry.
I told people that would lose interest it was a Dolphin torch on a stand.
Most people won't know what one was
Being from down under you may see the resemblance.

Then it was going to be like one of these.

Now it's for something else.

OK - I am looking forward to seeing the morph!
It would still look good as a torch, though.

The job of the artist is to always deepen the mystery.

I'll try and speed it up by posting less WIP pics, if that makes sense.
