Referring back to the guts of the power drill, bicycle three-speed hub gears are full of good stuff including three chubby little planetary pinions - freely-rotating little fat gears.  Here's one being an earring.   They're about 6-7mm thick and nicely heavy.  Some dumpster-diving might be in order Wink

I may be coming late to this party, but head to the local hobby shop that deals in slot cars and parts that style was popular with the cross mount engines. Over the rear wheels for weight transfer. A lot of them were made out of brass. You may try looking for gear blank bar stock that you hack off the width you want and o what you will. I will look in the shop tomorrow or so to see if I have any left. I all so will try to find a supplier,as I got mine last from a second hand dealer in machinery from out of state at a show.

I went to the local brass /steel scrap yard and they let me take a small bag full of steel gears for nothing and  though this time there were no brass gears, scrap brass is not that expensive.

A couple of shots of the gear blank stock the two large ones are steel, the smaller are brass. You cut off what you need in width and drill the axle hole or drill it in the lathe if available before parting it off.
