Er, I only detect a classic 'western'(cowboy) theme, with a little time mix up here and there. Forgive me for not seeing it or understanding why, but where is it? Today was a busy day, what did I miss?
And what's with the 'friday feeling' commercial, tad racy, no? Shocked

A steal from Blazing Saddles, which was itself a steal from Casino Royale.

Mel Brooks must have stolen  his idea from our ad.  It came out in the early 70s.

Mr Grub, they just do not appreciate our Antipodean humour

Hit them with Dear John BASF tapes  and a Milky Bar kid.

'Victorian' clothing.... check
Steam trains..... Check
guns...........check
music.....check
not being too serious....check
history but changed....check

So it does have several elements of Steampunk (OK it wasn't advertising Chocolate Cogs....there's an idea) but could class as light steampunk.

I remember the add - it played over the puddle in Oz, too.
Some years ago at work I used to be called 'Crunchie' because of a later series of TV ads - all wild and psychedelic coloured clothes, the like of which I took pleasure in wearing at the time!

I liked the Dear John ad, The Milky bar kid made me cringe.
