Hey, all! Cheesy
Sooo...i'm really excited to be going to my first steampunk convention, the Steampunk Symposium, in Cinncinatti, Ohio, at the end of April!! I'm a long-time steampunk..but a first-time event-goer! #O_O#I have never been to a steampunk-anything! Haha! Grin I have no idea what to expect.. Has anyone here ever been to this one? Can you tell me what to expect? Silly stories? Advice, even? Tongue I've been to comic conventions, but...something tells me this will be a very different experience.. Cheesy I'm so excited!!

I have been hesitant on making a thread about this myself. I really really want to go. I'm just not sure it's going to be possible. I live in Ohio and don't know of any other steampunk cons close to me.

Find out what you cannot do, and then, go out and do it.

It is considered polite to provide a link to information when you mention something like this on a forum like this.

Oops! Apologies! Thank you! #O.O#

This is honestly the first Steampunk convention I've heard of in Ohio, but I'm sure there are more hidden around somewhere..

Good news! At least for me. Turns out my wife assumed I was going, although I thought she said no the last time I asked. I guess it's time to clean up the "workshop" also known as the spare bedroom, and finish all my gear for this.

Hope I don't get in trouble for linking to another forum, but there's some more info on The Steampunk Empire and Facebook.

Hopefully so. Are you going all 3 days? I'll only be able to make it Friday or Saturday. Hoping for Saturday, to be more worth the drive.

Sorry, can't make it. Sad I am, however, thinking about trying for Steam Dream in Michigan, June 19-21. It's the same amount of driving time for me.
